MINTO, John "Jack" Jr., 76, died of natural causes on July 31, 2012, at his home in Lakeside California.

Jack was born Aug. 29, 1935, in Steubenville, OH, the son of John William Sr. and Alice "Eleanor" (McCluan) Minto.

Jack spent three years in the Marine Corps and worked at Weirton Steel Mill before moving to San Diego in 1958. He drove a route for Master Cleaners and then went to work for the San Diego Gas & Electric Company for the next 42 years.

Jack is known for his patriotism; love and loyalty to the Marine Corps; love for the Chargers (and Steelers); and car racing.

Jack leaves behind his wife of 15 years, eight children, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jack's memorial service and interment was held on Tuesday, Aug. 7 before 100 family members, friends and former co-workers.
