Two arrested
following incident
STEUBENVILLE - Two Chicago men were arrested for carrying concealed weapons following an incident at a local business early Saturday.
Darrius Watts, 19, and Stanley Haywood, 26, both of Chicago, are being held at the Jefferson County Jail following their arrest by City Police.
Watts has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon and underage consumption. Warrants charging him with parole and probation violation have been issued in Illinois.
Haywood has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
According to police reports, Watts was arrested outside Pee Dee's Coffee Shop on South Fourth Street by police responding to a report of a man brandishing a weapon inside the business and a possible altercation following outside.
Police said when they arrived, they found a crowd outside and Watts attempting to hide a firearm under a vehicle there.
