In ceremonies held Aug. 2, officers were installed for Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus Council 472 in Steubenville.
District Deputy Donald Hall presided at the ceremony assisted by the Rev. Jack McCoy, council chaplain.
Officers' family members and friends attended in a show of support for the men who will lead the council during the current fraternal year. Refreshments were served during a social time following the installation ceremony.
Council officers are Ron Fallert, warden; Rick Fornal, deputy grand knight; Don Hall, district deputy and grand knight, the Rev. Jack McCoy, chaplain; Al Furka, financial secretary; trustees Rocco Auteri, Bill DiMarzio and D.L. Romel; inside guard, Joe Gabrielli; chancellor, Tom Ryan; and outside guard, Bob Olexia; recorder, Lou Almonte; treasurer, Nick D'Anniballe; and lecturer, Tony Andriano.
Plans were made for a 1st and 2nd Degree to be held Aug. 16 with the annual family corn roast scheduled for 5 p.m. Aug. 23.
Council 472 celebrated 112 years of service to family, church, and community in January.
Catholic men 18 years of age and older are encouraged to the order.
The Knights of Columbus worldwide boasts 1.8 million members and is the largest Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization in the world.
