Liberty Gals and Guys
The Liberty Gals and Guys 4-H Club members heard Cecelia Libetti give a health report on sun protection and Jaymee Libetti discuss on room redecorating at the meeting held at the home of D.J. and Andrew Wetherell.
Alicia Libetti was in charge of the meeting, and Isabella Gessler was a prospective member.
Grilled corn on the cob was prepared for the grill master project and members reviewed completed project books.
Members voted to have a booth at the Jefferson County Junior Fair and a float for the Aug. 17 parade.
The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Libetti home.
The Golden Horseshoe 4-H Club worked on ideas for the float for the parade Aug. 17 at the Jefferson County Fair.
The meeting was held at the home of Carolyn Piergallini, adviser. Brooke Piergallini presided. Project books for the skillathon and project judging day were signed.
Several demonstrations were given by members.
After the meeting, a picnic and swimming session was held.
Future plans will include finishing the float for the fair parade, cleaning buildings at the fairgrounds and participating in project judging and the skillathon.
The Ridge Hoppers 4-H Club discussed projects to be taken to the Jefferson County Fair, and Donnelle Tanner, adviser, signed off on the project books at the meeting held at Eastern Gateway Community College. There were six members present.
Jordan Vance presided, conducted a short business meeting and demonstrated how to flip and check a bunny.
Members discussed the decorations to be put up at the Jefferson County Junior Fair booth on Aug. 11.
Members are taking turns watering flowers at the fairgrounds in front of the rabbit barn.
