A grand opening

City officials and members of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce gathered recently to celebrate the opening of La Grande Taqueria, a new restaurant at 104 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, where owners Shawna and Daniel Ovalle serve up a wide range of authentic Mexican foods, including flautas, tacos, burritos and chimichangas. Open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and closed Sundays, La Grande Taqueria offers a range of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Among those on hand for the ribbon cutting were Steubenville Mayor Domenick Mucci Jr., shown at center holding the ceremonial scissors, with Daniel Ovalle and his wife, Shawna, as well as Chamber President Sue Hershey and Chamber Chairman Jim Morgan. -- Linda Harris
