Cadiz blanks Moundsville
CADIZ - Cadiz Post 34's Josh Kernick was dominant on the hill during his squad's 8-0 win over visiting Moundsville Wednesday.
Kernick threw a complete game one-hitter, striking out six and walking one for the win. D.J. Busby had a pair of RBIs on a single with Spencer Badia adding an RBI triple and Nick Pelegreen an RBI double.
Cadiz (11-16) travels to Tusky County today.

Edison boosters to meet
RICHMOND - The Edison High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the front steps of the high school.
The booster organization is looking to work with and include junior high parents now that the schools are located at the same facility. The first meeting of the year will start on the fall athletic program. New parents are encouraged to attend.
Edison football program deadline
RICHMOND - The deadline to place an ad in the Edison football program is July 30.
Athletes and band members can pick up an information flier from their coach or see Athletic Director JoAnn Stagani at the high school.

Wildcats to hold pancake breakfast
RICHMOND - The Edison High School football program is holding a pancake breakfast Saturday at the Steubenville Applebee's.
Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Tickets are $5 and available at the door.

STEUBENVILLE - YMCA Fall League youth sports registrations are available at the arena and at www.ymcanet.org beginning today.
The session dates are:
Basketball: Sept. 10-Nov. 17 for three age groups (6-7, 8-9, 10-12). Deadline is Aug. 31.
Volleyball: Sept. 17-Nov. 24 for three age groups (8-9, 10-12, 13-14). Deadline is Aug. 31.
Soccer: Sept. 24-Dec. 1 for ages 6 to high school. Deadline is Sept. 3.
Kinderhoops: Sept. 15-Oct. 20 for 5-6 year olds.
