The Greater Zion Temple Church at 500 Logan St., Steubenville, is putting "its best foot" forward for a first-time fundraiser - the Blessed Soles shoe style show set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 15.
It will be held at the YWCA at 320 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, with tickets available for a $10 donation. Sponsors also are being sought.
Light refreshments will be served.
According to Tammy Gregory, who is among the organizers, there will be 25 men and women modeling a pair of new or gently used shoes that can be donated as part of the event. Donations of new or gently used shoes also are being accepted which will be combined with the purchase of new shoes made possible by the event proceeds.
The church will then host a shoe give-away at the church on Aug. 18, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing while supplies last.
