Teresa Kropka, local vocal artist, will join the Tony Campbell Jazz Quartet when they perform at the Steubenville Country Club on July 21.

Campbell's Jazz Quartet performed in Steubenville last sunmmer, and the audience response warranted a return engagement, according to a guild spokesperson. Campbell spent several years as the musical director for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and more recently, is a woodwind instructor at several Pittsburgh Jazz workshops, including the new August Wilson Center in Pittsburgh.
When he is not teaching junior high and high school wind ensemble and concert band, he can be seen every Saturday at "CJ's" on the Strip in Pittsburgh performing live with his popular jam sessions, where he mixes jazz, R&B and funk. He also is a featured artist in the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Jazz Series.
Campbell's quartet includes a pianist, bass player, a drummer and himself on saxophone.
Kropka, who works in the medical profession in the Steubenville area, is a "natural" for singing in a jazz genre, according to the guild spokesperson. She, too, frequently performs at various clubs in Pittsburgh and from time to time, joins the Tony Campbell Quartet in performances on the Pittsburgh Strip.
The Serendipity Cafe experience includes an informal atmosphere, where seating is varied, but groups can request to be seated together.
Chef Jason Ryan will prepare his specialty hors d'oeuvres, and guests will be entertained for two hours with music. There will be valet service.
Tickets are $30 per person. Reservations for the event should be made by Tuesday by contacting Liz Morelli at (740) 264-1299; Barb Wilinski at (740) 282-2161; or Kathy Antinone at (740) 264-1299.
