Leia Hunt, of Bloomingdale, carried a torch from the 2002 Olympic games in Salt Lake City Friday night to lead the cancer survivors opening lap of the 18th annual Steubenville Area Relay for Life. The event at Robert Kettlewell Memorial Stadium in Wintersville started at 6 p.m. Friday and concludes with closing ceremonies at 11:30 a.m. today. Hunt, a seventh grader at Bishop John King Mussio Junior High School was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in her left eye when she was two years old. She has been cancer free for eight years.
