June 16, 2012
The Herald-Star
Steubenville’s own Rich Treglia was one of the performers Friday evening at the Spot Bar to kick off the Dean Martin tribute weekend. The weekend devoted to the city’s favorite son continues today with a free show beginning at 1 p.m. featuring the Frank Gallo Italian Band and Dino’s Hits and Sing Along. At 7:30 p.m. the evening show begins featuring Russ Loniello and the winner of the Dino Singing Contest. Stevens again takes the stage, after which the Rat Pack Show starring Buster Maxwell, Save Salara and Bob Morelli, begins. The evening concludes with the Chris Denem Tribute Show to Neil Diamond. Admission for the evening shows are $10, and all proceeds benefit the Dean Martin Music Scholarship Fund. And a benefit orchestra concert is planned beginning at 1:30 p.m. today at Steubenville High School, with a portion of funds raised through the $5 admission going toward performing arts programs at SHS and Catholic Central High School. The concert will feature a 13-piece band backing Pittsburgh-based entertainer Antoinette and Bo Wagner’s Rat Pack. -- Mark J. Miller
