Collaros signs with CFL
TORONTO - The Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts have signed former Steubenville Big Red and Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Zach Collaros.
Collaros threw for 2,902 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2010, and 1,934 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2011.
Bears to hold volleyball camp
NEW CUMBERLAND - Oak Glen High School will host a volleyball camp on July 30-31 and Aug. 1 for all girls entering grades 6-12. The camp will be facilitated by Fairmont University head coach Larry Hill and members of his coaching staff.
The cost is $100. Girls entering grades 9-12 will meet from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with girls entering grades 6-8 meeting from noon to 3 p.m.

Striders to host track meet
STEUBENVILLE - The Steuben Striders Track Club will begin its 39th season Saturday at the Harding Middle School Track and Field Complex. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with running events beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The cost is $10 to enter and $1 for each additional event up to four events for children ages 5-18.

Brooke to hold basketball camp
WELLSBURG - The Brooke High School Basketball Camp will be held from 8 a.m. to noon June 14-15 for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The cost is $40 per person and $20 for additional family members. The camp will feature offensive and defensive fundamentals.

Fast pitch event to be held
CHESTER - The Oak Glen Junior Bears will hold their third-annual Fast Pitch Bash July 6-8 in three age divisions: U10, U12, and U15. Format is pool play followed by single elimination with three games guaranteed. The cost is $200.

STEUBENVILLE - Steubenville American Legion Post 33 is conducting its 18th-annual hitting camp at Vaccaro Field for players ages 7-18 in two sessions: June 11-13 and June 18-20. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $80 per camper.
