Michael Gus (Braoudakis) Brown

BROWN, Michael Gus (Braoudakis), 75, of Mount Holly Vermont, fell asleep in the Lord on June 4, 2012, at Rutland Health and Rehab.

He was born in Steubenville, OH on Feb. 12, 1937, to the late Gus and Mary (Barbush) Brown.

He was a 1955 graduate of Weir High School and a graduate of W.V. University and then DT Watson with a degree in Physical Therapy. He played High School and college baseball.

Michael settled in Rutland, VT in 1970 where he managed the rehabilitation department at Mountainview Center for 29 years until his retirement in March 1999. He had a private practice in Rutland for several years.

Michael enjoyed the outdoors and walking his dog, Zeke. He was an active member of Rutland Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Draper) Brown of 32 years; sons, Eric (Stephani) of Ridgefield, CT; Jason Matthew (Alina) of Jersey City, N.J; daughter, Rachel (David) Lewis of Raleigh, NC.; stepdaughter, Michele Britain of Forest Dale, VT; stepson, Eric (Michele) Bradley of West Rutland, VT; his brother, Harry (Paula) Brown of Weirton; Grandchildren, Alexandra and Mitchell Brown, Kathrine and Clair Lewis, Joshua, Alyssa and Kayla Zsido, Lyndsey and Robyn Bradley.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 4p.m. at the Rutland Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland Seventh-day Adventist Church, c/o Wilma Campbell, 158 Stratton Road, Rutland, VT 06701.
