CHARLESTON -- Weather has been the story all day.
Too much rain has forced the postponement of today's action in the West Virginia State Baseball Tournament.
Four semifinal games will be played Saturday at Appalachian Power Park.
The Class AA semifinals will begin at 10 a.m. with the Class A semifinal between Weirton Madonna and Charleston Catholic hitting the field at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The championship games will be held Sunday with the Class AAA game on the field at 1 p.m. The Class AA final will be at approximately 3:30 p.m. and the Class A final at about 6 p.m.
"We had an idea driving down today that today's game probably wasn't going to happen," said Blue Dons coach Jeff Baire, whose team is 23-9. "We were watching the storm come up from the south andx it looked like the rain was never going to end."
Madonna senior Logan Linder will be on the mound in the semifinal game against the Irish.
