FLUHARTY, Milford A. "Bob," 63, of Follansbee, WV., passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.
Born on May 20, 1949 in Morgantown, WV, he was a son of the late Roy M. and Eloise (Belford) Fluharty. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Cooper and Kimberly White.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
Milford was retired from the former International Mill Service in Mingo Junction, OH, where he worked as a Load Operator. He was a member for over 28 years with the International Union of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the McKinleyville Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Beverly Fluharty whom he married on Aug. 9, 1970; a son, Scott (Crystal) Fluharty of Follansbee, WV; two brothers, Joel (Marylin) Fluharty of San Diego, Calif., and Stephen (Kathy) Fluharty of Maybee, MI; one sister, Lucinda (Marty) Main of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb and Ethan Fluharty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV, where services will be held on Friday, June 1, at 1 p.m. with Larry Lemasters, minister officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Colliers, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Condolences may be sent to: www.mullenbachfh.com.
