HEDMOND, Betty L., 79, of Steubenville, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Trinity West. She was born Jan. 31, 1933, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. She is the daughter of the late Renard and Viola Walls Perry, Betty is also preceded in death by her husband; Robert L. Hedmond, son, David Hedmond and two brothers, Roy and James Perry.
Betty was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and was retired from Jefferson County Children Services as the human resource manager.
Surviving are three sons; Robert L., II, of Steubenville, John of Westerville and Matthew "Chip" of Steubenville.
Four grandchildren, Lindsay, Shane, Robert, III and Dane. Also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 p.m. and on Monday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Bradley Greer, celebrant. There will be a vigil service 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Union Cemetery.
