ASH, James E., 73, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Monday May 21, 2012, in his home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1938, in Center Point, W.Va., a son of the late Robert and Beatrice "Peach" (Pitts) Ash.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Ash; and a sister, Mae Ash.
James was an electrician, having retired from Weirton Steel Corp. in 1991. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and he was a member of the Hopedale American Legion Post 682. Jim enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by two sons, James D. "JD" Ash and his fiance' Debbie Jeffers of Hopedale, Ohio, and Christopher N. Ash of Brilliant; a daughter, Anita-Rae Ash and her fiance' Shawn Wells of Brilliant; three grandchildren, Hunter Rose Sox, Joseph Michael Ash and MacKenzie Elizabeth Ash; a brother, Dave (Mary) Ash of Lost Creek, W.Va.; and a sister, Ann Hurst of Salem, W.Va.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private burial at Center Point Christian Cemetery in Center Point, W.Va.
