Charity Hospice of Wintersville held a successful spring fundraiser April 15 at Blessed Sacrament's Sargus Hall in Wintersville.

The dinner included door prizes, a Chinese auction, and a drawing for a 32-inch flat screen television.

In cooperation with Indian Creek High School, Charity Hospice is donating 50 percent of this year's proceeds to the Justin Cummings Medical Fund. Cummings is the ICHS student who was seriously injured in an automobile accident on Jan. 15.

"The event was a huge success. The students and staff at Indian Creek High School were very helpful. Divertimento & Paisano entertained the crowd with Italian and American classics. They were spectacular. We are just so thankful to everyone who participated in this event. Without the support of our wonderful community, we could not be successful in what we do. Being able to donate 50 percent of our fundraising proceeds to the Cummings family was so satisfying. We were able to give back to the community, and that is what it is all about. I cannot express how thankful we are here at Charity Hospice," said Steve Seminara, director of volunteers.
