PERUN, Edward "Beanie," 90, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away at his home on Friday, May 11, 2012.
Ed was born March 6, 1922, in Toronto, Ohio, son of the late Edward P. and Anna Perun.
Ed was retired from Timet-Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto where he worked in the shipping department. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of the church.
Ed served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by four sisters, Teresa and Anna Perun, Sister Geraldine Ann Perun. and Rita Zdinak; two brothers, Steve Perun. and Anthony "Tony" Perun.
Surviving are his wife Mary Perun, whom he married on May 29, 1948; four sons, Vincent (Jo Ann) Perun of California, Eddie (Annie) Perun of Toronto, Mark (Cheryle) Perun of Kettering, Ohio, and Tim Perun of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters. Patti (Bob) Oxier and Mariella (Bill) Haught both of Toronto. Ed also leaves behind nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Rosemary Gooch and his brother, Paul (Charlotte) Perun all of Toronto.
Visitation for Ed will be held on Monday, May 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St., Toronto.
Tuesday morning visitation will take place at St. Joseph Church, on N. River Avenue, from 9 a.m. until the Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 a.m. Father Thomas Vennetti will celebrate Ed's Mass and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
Vigil Service will be held on Monday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Toronto American Legion Post 86.
