The Acts of Faith Drama Ministry will be performing its latest production "Tell Mama All About It," on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Steubenville High School auditorium.
The play deals with dysfunctional boyfriend-girlfriend relationships, guided by concerned friends and Holy Spirit-driven mothers with this year's production dedicated in memory of former cast member Princess Simon.
The Acts of Faith is a community drama group, which evolved from a drama ministry At Mount Zion Baptist Church. The group is comprised of 25 members ranging in ages from 33 to 68. Their past performances have included "Wait On The Lord", "More Than Enough," " More Money, More Problems" and "God Knows and Somebody Else Does, Too."
The drama ministry deals with Christian moral and ethical issues with the purpose of spreading the gospel in a light and entertaining way, a spokesperson said. "This play encompasses light comedy, mime ministry, soul-stirring and inspiring gospel music, a lesson on true love and the power of a mother's love driven by the Holy Spirit," the spokesperson said.
