Traffic was backed up along a portion of U.S. Route 22 eastbound Tuesday afternoon near Weirton after a car ran into the back of a tractor-trailer. Emergency crews blocked off traffic between the Harmon Creek and Three Springs Drive exits. A second accident resulted from the stopped traffic. Drivers from both accidents were transported to a local hospital for treatment. No additional information was available. - Craig Howell
