Help offered with grief
WELLSBURG - Community members coping with the death of a family member or friend are invited to the GriefShare program at Wellsburg Christian Church.
The free, non-denominational video seminar features Christ-centered teaching, with commentary from grief experts and real life stories.
Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines, and grief-related books and materials will be made available for participants to borrow.
GriefShare will be held each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church at 1001 Charles St.

FOLLANSBEE - The Follansbee Branch of the Brooke County Public Library will hold a story hour for children, ages 2-5, and their caregivers on Monday and May 14 at noon.

FOLLANSBEE - The Follansbee Branch of the Brooke County Public Library will be offering a free basic computer class for adults on Friday at 11 a.m.

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will hold a Mother's Day-themed evening storytime with Kim Harless on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Fish frys to resume
COLLIERS - The Colliers Fire Department Auxiliary's fish frys will resume on Friday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., with many old favorites on the menu, and continue each Friday until fall.
Lunches sold on Election Day
COLLIERS - Olde St. John's Episcopal Church at the intersection of Eldersville and St. John's roads will hold an Election Day soup and sandwich luncheon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The cost is $5, which includes soup, sandwich, desert and a beverage. Takeout and delivery within that voting precinct will be available by calling (304) 527-4746.
Church selling lunches
WELLSBURG - Christ Episcopal Church at 1014 Main St. will be selling roast beef sandwich lunches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
The cost is $6.50, which includes sandwich, chips, beverage and a slice of Hawaiian sheet cake. Sandwiches also may be purchased individually for $4.50.
Takeout and delivery to local businesses and shut-ins are available. For delivery or advance orders, call (304) 737-3432 after 8:30 a.m. that day.
