Officers were elected at the April dinner meeting of the Mingo Lions Club which was held at the Mingo Medical Group office building.
Elected officers were: president, James Freiling; first vice president, Michele Fabbro; second vice president, Jo Ann Johns; third vice president, Bill Snyder; secretary, Clara Sue Milewsky; treasurer, Christine Barrett; tail twister, John Fabian; Lion tamer, Leroy Milewsky; two-year director, Jeff Schuetz; and one-year directors, Dr. William Johns and Terry Snyder. Sight chairman is Johns, youth chairman is Fabbro, and membership chairman is Karen Edwards.
The officers will be installed at the next meeting set for May 21 at the Mingo Medical Group office building.
Leroy and Clara Sue Milewsky attended the district convention in St. Clairsville. There was a memorial service in the morning session for deceased Lions. Reggie Ardito was among deceased Lions remembered at a memorial service there. The club presented a rose and program to his daughter, Donna Ardito.
At the convention, officers were elected with Beth Johnson to become the first woman governor in the district. Awards were presented with district Gov. R.J. Konkoleski Jr. presenting a 100 percent secretary award to Lion Clara Sue Milewsky.
The club has decided to not have meetings during the summer months again this year.
