SALINEVILLE - The Toronto softball team defeated host Southern Local, 13-3, Friday to win its seventh straight game.
Cari Horne earned the win. She struck out seven, walked one and helped her cause with two doubles, a single and four RBIs at the dish. Maddie Stoica contributed three RBIs on a double and triple. Becca Schamming added two singles and Kayla Brown a double.
Toronto visits Shadyside at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Division IV sectional tournament.
