Bloomingdale to hold

cleanup on Saturday

BLOOMINGDALE - The village will be conducting a community cleanup on Saturday.

Village officials are asking residents to have trash and rubbish at the curb by 5 a.m. Saturday. The village will not be collecting tires.

Chamber to hold

business after hours

FOLLANSBEE - A Follansbee Chamber of Commerce business after hours will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Winemaker's Loft, 830 Main St.

No reservations are required.

Economist to speak

at WLU event

WEST LIBERTY - Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute, will speak on "Capitalism Without Guilt: The Moral Case for Freedom" at noon May 8 at the River City Ale Works, 1400 Main St.

Held by West Liberty University Center for Economic Philosophy, Brook's appearance is part of the WLU Economics Club's luncheon lecture series. It's sponsored by a grant from BB&T.
