Toy collection
Collecting toys for Christmas started early in New Alexandria when Wendy Carmichael, right, Scentsy independent consultant, in line with the company’s policy of holding fundraisers, set up an open house at the Liberty Grange to benefit the Toys for Tots campaign that Sis Brannon, left, has overseen for more than 22 years. The toys then are picked up by Jerry Boyd of the Wintersville United Methodist Church. The fundraiser also included refreshments, a baked goods and candy sale and vendors. A portion of the vendors’ sales was turned over to the project. Also door prizes, donated by the vendors, were distributed.
