SHUMA, Andrew Victor "Vic," 72, of Toronto, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012, at his home.
Vic was born Dec. 4, 1939, in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Andy and Anna Mohnacky Shuma.
Vic was retired after 39 years of service from Weirton Steel Corp, where he worked in the Sheet Mill, Production Planning Department.
He is a member of St. Francis R.C. Church, the Knights of Columbus, Weirton Steel 25-year Club and a longtime member of the Toronto Boosters Club.
Surviving are his wife Mary Ann (Pillar) Shuma, whom he married on June 6, 1966; his children, Mary Ann (Stacy) Annis of Stevensville, Mich., Michael (Marie) Shuma, Marlene (Pete) Lamantia and Melissa (George) Kaldor all of Toronto; his sister, Dorothy (John) Hrko of Pineville, W.Va., seven grandchildren, Riley, Nolan and Conner Annis; Emily, Allison and Timothy Lamantia and Katie Kaldor. Three nephews also survive.
Visitation for Vic will be held on Tuesday, April 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St., Toronto, Ohio.
On Wednesday morning, the family will gather at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis R.C. Church, with Father Thomas Vennetti as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.; followed by the vigil service at 3:45 p.m.
