STEUBENVILLE - The Ohio Division II Eastern District Sectional Baseball Tournament begins Saturday at Vaccaro Field with a tripleheader.
Carrollton meets Meadowbrook at 11 a.m., followed Minerva vs. East Liverpool at 1:30 p.m. and Indian Creek facing Buckeye Local at 4 p.m.
The games Monday through Friday are all at 5 p.m.
No. 1 seeded Cambridge meets the Carrollton-Meadowbrook winner on May 7, No. 4 seeded Harrison Central takes on the Minerva-East Liverpool winner on May 8, No. 3 seeded Steubenville Big Red faces Beaver Local on May 9 and No. 2 seeded Edison goes against the Indian Creek-Buckeye Local winner on May 10.
May 11 has the Cambridge/Carrollton/Meadowbrook winner meeting the Harrison Central/Minerva/East Liverpool winner and the 2 p.m. The May 12 contest pits the Steubenville Big Red-Beaver Local winner against the Edison/Indian Creek/Buckeye Local winner.
The Division IV sectional will be played at Niekro Field in Bridgeport.
Catholic Central, the No. 1 seed takes on Beallsville at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The winner will take on the Shadyside-River winner at 5:30 p.m. May 9.
Toronto, the No. 2 seed, meets St. John Central at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The winner will face the Barnesville/Bridgeport/Frontier winner at 5:30 p.m. May 10. The winners will go at it for the sectional title at 6 p.m. on May 14.
The Division II softball tournament will be held at Jefferson Lake State Park and it will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday with Steubenville Big Red taking on Beaver Local. The winner will meet Indian Creek at 5 p.m. May 7. No. 1 seed Buckeye Local faces Edison at 5 p.m. May 8. The winners will play at 5 p.m. May 10.
The Division III softball tournament in St. Clairsville has No. 1 seeded Steubenville Catholic Central meeting Bellaire at 5 p.m. on May 7. The winner will face the St. Clairsville-Union Local winner at 5 p.m. on May 10.
No. 2 seed Harrison Central takes on Monroe Central at 5 p.m. on May 8. The winner meets the Shenandoah-Martins Ferry winner at 6:30 p.m. on May 10.
The Division IV softball tournament has Toronto taking on host Shadyside at 5 p.m. May 8. The winner will play at 5 p.m. May 10 against the winner between River and Frontier.
The loser of those two games will meet on Tuesday with the loser being done with their season.
Wheeling Central will meet the loser of that game at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The winner of Tuesday's game will meet the winner of Wednesday's game at 5 p.m. Thursday.
The remainder of the schedule will be determined based on who wins and loses.
