WELLSBURG - The Indian Creek baseball team had a big offensive day, tallying 15 hits in a 14-4 win at Brooke Tuesday.

Ty Yocum had a home run and two singles to lead the charge for the Redskins. Dustin Rath had three singles with Alex Young and Seth Davis each getting two singles.

Both teams are in action today. Indian Creek hosts Buckeye Local and Brooke is at home against Wheeling Park.

Red Devils down Red Riders

WEIRTON - The Weir baseball team was outmuscled Tuesday by visiting St. Clairsville, 17-6, in six innings.

Ryan Mendenhall had a double and two RBI for the Red Riders with Josh Russell and Ryan Duke each picking up a double. Mitch Viakley, Harley Mills, Jeremy Swartzmiller, and Mike Curtis all drove in a run.

Weir (4-11) is at Toronto today.

Creek blanks Oak Glen

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Indian Creek softball team picked up a 7-0 win at Oak Glen Tuesday.

Paige Geanangel had a terrific day, earning the win with a two-hit, nine strikeout performance. She also helped her cause at the plate with two singles and a RBI.

Paige DeMattio also picked up two singles while driving in a run. Kristen Shimko and Ashley Starr each had two singles as well.

Tayler Maxwell had a double for Oak Glen.

Indian Creek (13-3) hosts Buckeye Local today while Oak Glen welcomes Weir.

Crusaders fall to Monarchs

GLEN DALE - The Central softball team hung with a John Marshall team that had won 22 straight, but ultimately dropped a 6-2 decision.

Maddie Gulan had two singles for the Crusaders while Sara Moziejko and Ashlynne Daley each had a single and an RBI.

Central (13-4) hosts Buckeye Trail today.

Ferry beats Weir

MARTINS FERRY - The Purple Riders defeated the visiting Red Riders, 11-1, Tuesday in five innings.

Martins Ferry scored four in the bottom of the first inning and cruised from there. Cirstie Delguzzo struck out five, walked none and allowed two hits.

The Purple Riders finished with 16 hits.
