McQUAID, Lana J., 71, of the Tappan Lake area in Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012, after a recent stroke.
Born June 12, 1940, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Ann (Ksiazek) Padolsky.
Lana had lived near Tappan since 1999 having previously lived in Michigan for much of her life after growing up in the Smithfield, Ohio, area where she attended Smithfield High School. On Nov. 25, 1961, she married Ralph O. McQuaid with whom she celebrated 50 years of loving marriage this past fall.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David B. McQuaid; a grandson, David B. Mc Quaid, Jr.; stepchildren, Debbie McQuaid and Richard McQuaid; siblings Rita Breslen, Anson Padolsky, Marlon Padolsky, and Tina Titus; her goddaughter, Agnes Worrell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, Ohio. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
