Siera Terry wins State Juniorette of the Year title

Siera Terry, a sophomore at Indian Creek High School, won the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs State Juniorette of the Year Award.

She was nominated by the Ohio Valley Young Women's Club Juniorettes, a group of high school and junior high girls performing community service, and of which she serves as its president.

The award was presented at its annual convention held recently in Columbus at the Hilton Doubletree/Worthington by State Juniorette Chair Rita Hall of Barnesville.

Members of the sponsoring club, the Upper Ohio Valley Junior-Women, who attended the convention with Sierra included Mary Lou Jones, president; member Mitzi Probert; member Monica Terry, Siera's mother; and Vice President Gina Judy, Juniorette-Club adviser. Probert and Judy also presented at the "Club Authors" workshop, as members who have published works.

State awards won by the Upper Ohio Valley Junior-Women included legislation, interfederated, and scoring 10th in the Junior-Scorecard category. State awards also won by the Juniorettes included arts, communications, conservation, leadership and interfederated categories.
