KELLEY, Dale L., 80, of HC 68 West Union (Blandville Community) departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in his residence.
He was born July 28, 1931, on Sugar Camp Road, Doddridge County, a son of the late George and Goldie Blake Kelley.
On July 28, 1949, he married Norma Lee Bland Kelley who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Diana Lee Boger and husband Jerry, Alma, Julia Ann Lyons, West Union; one son, Dennis Dale Kelley and wife Glenda, Follansbee; seven grandchildren, Renee Blakeley, Dennis Kelley II, Arlene Brown, Kenny Platko, Jason Kelley, Jeff Lyons, Kevin Lyons; four sisters, Josephine Zucosky, Weirton, Carrie Lee Sponaugle, Sugar Camp Road, Carol Verner, Wooster, OH, Frances McFerren, Weirton; three brothers, Bernard Kelley, Greenwood, Garner Kelley, Weirton, Marvin J. Kelley, Wooster, OH and several nieces and nephews. One brother George Burl Kelley preceded him in death.
Dale had been a Truck (Broker) Driver and was a member of the Teamster Local 428. He was a member of Blandville United Methodist Church, the Doddridge County Lions Club and was an honorary member of the Doddridge County Emergency Squad.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Davis presiding. Interment will follow in the Blandville Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
