MILLER, Jean H., 96, of Amsterdam, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 9, 2012, while at the Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton following an extended illness.
Born Aug. 29, 1915, in Amsterdam, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Hannah McMaster Holligan.
Jean was member of the Amsterdam Church of God.

She is survived by two sons, David R. (Ruth Ann) Miller of Amsterdam and James W. (Connie) Miller of Amsterdam; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great- great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Alan, in 2003; one grandson, Brett Hellyer, in 1998; and two brothers, William Holligan in 1945 while serving as a naval aviator in World War II, and Hugh Holligan in 1994.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2012, at noon in the Amsterdam Church of God with Rev. David Guess officiating. Burial will follow in Germano Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning at the church from 11 a.m. until service time.
