WEIRTON - The Madonna boys and girls tennis teams swept visiting Indian Creek Monday at Starvaggi Park, 6-1 (girls) and 7-0 (boys).
The Redskins' lone win came at No. 3 doubles when Amber Travis and Ashley Bolitho defeated Emily Fournier and Annie Frankovitch, 8-1.
Madonna won three singles matches by 8-1 scores as Lisa Parkins beat Georgia Reed, Ali Welch topped Kaleigh Clevenger and Tina Conforti beat Ashley Renforth. The Blue Dons' Amy Davis blanked Erika Kirkpatrick, 8-0.

The other two doubles matches had Davis and Parkins beating Kirkpatrick and Clevenger, 8-4, and Welch and Confori stopping Reed and Renforth, 8-0.
In boys action, Madonna's Nick Conforti beat Shane Winland and Matt Conforti beat Jared Conn by 8-3 scores. Anthony Clements topped Brandon Hammack 8-0 and Alan Alimario defeated Justin Caniff 8-4.
Two doubles matches had 8-0 counts as Conforti and Conforti beat Winland and Caleb Smith and Dom Clements and Dustin Parr downed Justin Caniff and Josh Shield. Clements and Alimario downed Conn and Hammack, 8-2.
Bears split matches
PARKERSBURG - The Oak Glen boys and girls tennis teams split their matches with Ravenswood and Parkersburg Catholic Monday afternoon at Jackson Park.
The Golden Bears boys beat Ravenswood (5-2) and Parkersburg Catholic (6-1), while the Lady Golden Bears lost to Ravenswood (5-2) and Parkersburg Catholic (4-3).
Oak Glen earned three singles wins as Zach Brown beat Sean Matics, 8-0, Josh Lehman topped Ethan Cross, 8-6, and Addison Sayre won by forfeit. Ravenswood's Nate Schiefer beat Tyler Brown, 8-3.
In doubles play, Schiefer and Cross defeated Brown and Brown, 8-3, Lehman and Sayre stopped Matics and Elias McKown 8-3 and Alex Bennett and Teddy Adkins won by forfeit.
The Golden Bears swept the four singles matches against Parkersburg Catholic as Tyler Brown beat Tyler Cardenas, 8-6, Lehman defeated David Albert, 8-3, and Zach Brown beat Luke Cardenas and Sayre defeated Cody Somerville by 8-2 scores.
In doubles competition, Lehman and Sayre beat Albert and Somerville, 8-3, and Bennett and Adkins downed Sina Kagieni and Alex Ash, 8-4. Brown and Brown dropped a tough 9-8 (7-5) decision to Cardenas and Cardenas.
For the girls, Oak Glen's two wins were in singles as Haley Spurlock beat Hannah Gurtis and Abbi Sayre beat Bess McNabb by 8-2 scores.
Ravenswood earned the other five points. Alex McNabb beat Anna Crawford, 8-2, Taylor Youell blanked Solita Krauss, 8-0, McNabb and Gurtis downed Crawford and Sayre 8-6, Youell and McNabb topped Krauss and Spurlock 8-0 and Jordan Danko and Kerigan Crow beat Lauren Pizzurro and Maddy Hill 8-2.
Against Parkersburg Catholic, Krauss beat Jordan Wiseman and Spurlock topped Jillie Wiseman by 8-2 counts. Ariel Shuman beat Crawford 8-0 and Erica Tracewell defeated Sayre 8-5.
In doubles action, Krauss and Spurlock downed Jillie Wiseman and Tracewell, 8-4. Shulman and Jordan Wiseman beat Crawford and Sayre, 8-5, and Kate Clowes and Audrey Eisenmann beat Pizzurro and Hill 8-1.
