HIBBS, Robert Daniel (Dan,) 60, of Murrells Inlet SC., passed away April 3, 2012, at MUSC following a brief illness.
Born April 6, 1951, and raised in Weirton WV, Dan graduated from Weir High in 1969. He was employed by Marlins Shoe Stores, Weirton Steel Corporation and worked as a Sales Director at Chicago Title in Ventura CA. prior to a chronic illness forcing him into early retirement.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Hibbs, two sisters; Michael Jean Bearch and Linda Lange, a brother, John Mark Hibbs and a son, Gregory Dean Hibbs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Peggy Hibbs and one son, Robert J Hibbs of Murrells Inlet SC. Also surviving are his mother, Jean V Hibbs of Weirton WV, two sisters; Carol Ricca of Weirton WV and Rae Russell of Seattle WA.
Dan will be remembered for his kindness, caring nature, humor, strength, courage and generous, loving, heart.
A memorial service is being planned, details incomplete.
