WINTERSVILLE - The Indian Creek softball team raised its record to 8-0 with a 9-0 victory over crosstown rival Steubenville Big Red Tuesday at Bantam Ridge Elementary.

Brey Mays led the offense with a single, home run and four RBIs.

Ashley Starr earned her fourth win with a three-hitter, five strikeouts and zero walks.

She also collected three singles, a double and an RBI. Ashley Shimko delivered two singles and Beckah Mazar a double and an RBI.

Indian Creek hosts John Marshall today.

Annie Perrino, Carmie Biasi and Christina Archer singled for Big Red (1-7), which visits Buckeye Local today.

Toronto loses to Bishops

MCMECHEN - Toronto lost a tough outing 9-6 at Bishop Donahue Tuesday.

Toronto led 6-5 going into the bottom of the seventh when Bishop Donahue plated four and then held on for the win.

Maddie Stoica had two singles and a double to led the Lady Knights. Carly Cooper had three singels and Shane Sears had two to join Stoica with multiple hits.

Toronto hosts Linsly today.

Edison grounds Jets

MORRISTOWN - The Edison softball team rolled to an 11-1 win over homestanding Union Local Tuesday.

Zoe Westfall went the distance to pick up the win for the Wildcats. Kasey DellaPenna had two triples, a double and three RBIs to go with Molly McCoy's triple, double, two singles, and three RBIs to lead Edison at the plate.

Edison (2-3) hosts Martins Ferry today.
