WELLSBURG - Wheeling Park pitcher Carly Greer allowed a pair of singles to host Brooke during Monday's 6-2 victory over the Bruins.
Brooke scored two times in the bottom of the third inning to knot the score at 2-2, but the Patriots put a three-spot on the board in the top of the fifth inning and Greer finished it from there.
Greer also aided her cause with a single, double and two RBIs as the Patriots finished with nine hits.

Sophomore Kaylee Kuchinski took the loss. She struck out four and walked two in five innings. Kelsey Welsh pitched the final two innings for the Bruins.

Geanangel tosses no-no
WINTERSVILLE - Freshman Paige Geanangel threw a no-hitter and Indian Creek moved to 7-0 with a 17-0, five-inning win over visiting East Liverpool Monday at Bantam Ridge Elementary.
Geanangel struck out seven and walked three. She also added two singles, a double and three RBIs at the plate.
Ashley Shimko had a single and two RBIs, Ashley Starr three singles and two RBIs, Paige DeMattio a double and an RBI, Sammy Orr two singles and two RBIs, Megan Markja a double and two RBIs, Mallory Sullivan two singles and Beckah Mazar three singles.

WHEELING - Wheeling Central defeated Oak Glen, 10-0, Monday in three innings at the I-470 Complex. The Maroon Knights scored seven times in the bottom of the third inning.

RICHMOND - Mark Smyth struck out six, walked three and went the distance Monday as Edison moved to 6-0 with a 7-1 win over Indian Creek at Jefferson Lake State Park.
Smyth aided his cause with two singles and two RBIs.

Panthers win first game
RAYLAND - Buckeye Local scored five times in the bottom of the second inning en route to its first win of the season, 9-2, over visiting Martins Ferry Monday. The Purple Riders walked nine and committed eight errors.
Chase Hopkins earned the win. He fanned two and walked three in six innings. Austin Marshall singled and had two RBIs, Corey Slaga a single and an RBI and Eric Banal two singles an an RBI.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Visiting Harrison Central scored three runs in the top half of the sixth to come from behind and defeat St. Clairsville, 5-3.
Rhett Kuryn and Ryan Rose each drove in a run for the Huskies. Rose, Dalton Rutter and Garrit Sproull each had two singles for the visitors.
Sam Vincenzo and Matt Kinnick each had an RBI for the Red Devils, who committed four errors. Kinnick's RBI came via a double.
