Cooking school offers chance for some fun

Tickets are still available for this year's Taste of Home Cooking School, to take place Tuesday, and we hope to see a huge turnout for what is sure to, once again, be a great event.

Taking place in the Garden Room of the Serbian-American Cultural Center, the event will feature the return of Taste of Home culinary expert Cheryl Cohen, who will demonstrate 10 new recipes for those in attendance.

Those in attendance will be able to follow along with each recipe as it is prepared and shown on a 10-foot projection screen, a new feature for this year's event.

The Taste of Home Cooking School is always a great experience, with lots of cooking tips, fun, prizes and the chance to peruse displays from a wide array of local and national vendors. Even if you've attended the event in the past, you won't want to miss it.

Among the prizes for guests is a chance to win either a 42-inch Toshiba high-definition television or a General Electric smooth top range gas or electric stove. That's sure to be a big draw.

And remember, everyone there will go home with a gift bag filled with an assortment of products and coupons, as well as two Taste of Home magazines.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Weirton Shop 'n Save, the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times office in Steubenville, M&M True Value Hardware and Frank & Jerry Home Furnishing.

We hope to see you there.
