A U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Mobile Veterans Center manned by, from left, Jesse Davis and Lesa Meinze, readjustment counselors for the mobile unit; and Eric Ullery, a counselor with the Wheeling Vet Center; stopped at the Fort Steuben Mall Saturday as part of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce’s 12th Annual Business Expo. The event, which also showcases goods and services offered by 24 area businesses, continues from noon to 3 p.m. today. The three wanted area combat veterans and their families to know the center offers counseling and is available for those readjusting following return from service abroad, dealing with marital or family issues, military sexual trauma, grief over the loss of a loved one who died while on active duty and other issues. Help also is available through the Wheeling Vet Center and the department’s 24-hour toll-free Veterans Crisis Line at (800) 273-8255. - Warren Scott
