The Two Chiefs District of the Cub Scouts held the first night of its annual Pinewood Derby from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Fort Steuben Mall’s Center Court. Friday night’s races were for adult volunteers and for those who have recently made the move from Cub Scout to Boy Scout. Close to 200 Scouts are expected to attend today’s event which will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Races will be held all day, and six winners were to be annonced immediatley following. All winners are to be presented with a trophy and gift card courtesy of the Fort Steuben Mall. The event is for Cub Scout members in first through fifth grade in the Two Chiefs District. - Jeremy Kins
