WEST, Mr. Lee Alexander, 15, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away Jan. 31, 2012, in Steubenville.
He was born July 23, 1996, in Steubenville, son of Elmer Lee Martin Jr. of Steubenville, Alex (Cookie) West of Steubenville.
Lee was a Freshman at Steubenville High School and an honor student. He was an outstanding member of the football, basketball and baseball teams of the mighty Big Red. He was also a member of the Ohio Valley Hoops Travel Basketball Team.
He was a member of Tower of Power Church.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard D. West, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was survived by his biological mother, Anna Ruth West of Steubenville; two brothers, Joshua Fordham of Steubenville, Timothy J. West of Steubenville; four sisters, Taylor Banks of Steubenville, Ashley Thorn of Steubenville, Aun Drea West of Steubenville and Elexis Martin of Steubenville; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Vera Martin of Steubenville and maternal grandmother, Bernadine (West) White of Steubenville; and a host of loving relatives.
Friends will be received on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at The Vinson House of Mortuary.
Services will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Tower of Power Church, with the Rev. Everett Mitchell and the Rev. Norries A. Hood Sr.
