To the editor:
If Obuma's the answer, how dumb was the question? If he is the smartest guy in the room, let's see his transcripts.
In his fourth, and last, year Obuma is still blaming Bush, Van Buren, Tyler and Fillmore for his failed presidency. He'd blame others but he doesn't know any more U.S. history. On Dec. 23, Obuma ran an ad to have kids encourage their family members to vote for him. This guy is classy. On the official White House Christmas card, you see a dog laying in front of a fireplace with no Christmas tree or first family in photo. He believes in Christmas?
Obuma's fellow traveler, Harry Reid, stated on Dec. 23, he's holding up voting on legislation so not to push through a bill most Americans don't want. Guess he forgot Obamacare backroom dealing and 70 percent Americans' disapproval? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spent $10,000 a night on vacation in Hawaii over the holidays. How many occupiers did she bring along? She thinks the 99ers are the pulse of the nation. Of the three aforementioned, all millionaires? How many paid more than minimum tax? On Jan. 18, Obuma killed the Canadian pipeline. He also killed tens of thousands jobs, billions in revenue for participating states and increased our dependency on foreign oil instead of dealing with a stable neighbor. But he did save six salamanders and have Canada sell is oil to China, a leader in green technology. Here's another Obuma winner, the Chevy Volt. With the subsidy GM received, it cost approximately $200,000 per car, Chevy sells them for $40,000 each. It gets 40-60 miles a charge. How do you charge the car? Where does electricity come from? To save 10 gallons of gas a month, one's electric bill soars $400 a month and the power plant burns more fuel to make the electricity to make fuel. Obuma appoints a loser from Ohio, Richard Cordray, as czar to oversee consumers rights. This is another concealed power for government intrusion.
What's wrong with identification for voting? We need identification for library, school, banking, etc. Isn't voting a little more important?
Dave Core's last letter reveals how far left liberals go to deceive ("Government has taken our country," Jan. 1.) When you read it, it seems that Core is a middle-of-the- road kind of guy. He doesn't reveal the rhetoric he unleashes in his e-mail comments. Don't be a phony, Core. Be true to yourself, if not to readers.
Another phony letter came last month from Frank Papini about the post office ("U.S. Postal Service being attacked," Dec. 25.) He jumps on Republicans about having the post office pay $5 billion for union benefits. He claims it's not fair, but he doesn't mention that he was or is a union president. Be honest, guys.
