To the editor:
The 15-annual Festival in the Woods was a huge success. I would like to thank all the vendors, car show participants, everyone who made donations and all who volunteered their help that day.
A special thank you for Richmond United Methodist Church for providing the food, the Boy Scouts for camping out and watching over the park, Kurt James Fun and Games for donating a bouncy house, Tom and Mollie McConnell for donating all the pumpkins, DJ Rockin Rodney and Chelsea Matta for an awesome DJ job, Mayor Harry Thomas for all his help and the use of the park, Heather Grimes for putting together all the basket drawings and Carry Ferrelli for organizing all the vendors.
A huge thank you to Dave Barnhouse, who donated two of his prints, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gorby from Caroline's Collectibles, who donated the framing of those prints. Thank you, Brad Cain, who gave his time and auctioned those prints making the John Gregg PTO $1,010, just from those paintings. To my two sidekicks, Carrie Rudy, vice president, and Marsha Smith, treasurer, this would not have been such a great success without you. Thank you to all my family who were there all day volunteering.
Also, thanks to the people who bought the Barnhouse prints.
Most important, thank you to every one of you who came and supported our festival that day. Together we raised more than $5,000 for the students of John Gregg Elementary. Our students are the best and they definitely deserve this.
