MINGO JUNCTION - Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Peninsula was the setting for the June 11 wedding that united Lori Lewis and Rob Pekare in marriage. The 4 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Larry Lewis.
Escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her parents, James and Linda Lewis of Mingo Junction, the bride chose an ivory lace cap sleeve trumpet gown, with a beaded sash and a chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of pink peonies.
The groom is the son of Robert Jr. and Karen Pekare of Amherst.

Dawn Bowan of Milwaukee, Wis., Jamie Cicco of Clearwater, Fla., and Faith Siliekus of Swoyersville, Pa., served as their sister's bridesmaids.
Ryan Pekare of Holland, Mich., brother of the groom, was the best man. David Rhoades of Amherst and Brad Kushinski of Melbourne, Fla., were the groomsmen.
Following the wedding ceremony and reception, the newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Indian Creek High School, a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron and a 2011 master's program graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in education. She is employed by North Royalton City Schools as a preschool intervention specialist.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron. He is employed by a long-term care facility as a dietitian in Stow.
The couple reside in Cuyahoga Falls.
