FOLLANSBEE - Craft vendors are needed for the Follansbee Christmas in the Park festival, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1-2 at Follansbee Park.

School retirees to meet Sept. 13
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Association of Retired School Employees will hold a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 13 at Franklin United Methodist Church.
President Betty Lou Harris will preside over the business meeting, and Jenny Arnold, West Virginia University Extension Family Nutrition Program instructor, will discuss tools for a healthy livestyle.
All retired Brooke County Schools employees and spouses are welcome.

Free concert, movie planned
FOLLANSBEE - A free concert, featuring swing band Dr. Zoot, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Follansbee Park.
There also will be a free movie, the PG-13-rated comedy "Grown Ups," shown there at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 28.
The two events are in conjunction with the Follansbee Police Department's Neighborhood Watch program.
