EARNS DOCTORATE: Dr. Darlene Sperlazza-Anthony, director of the MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Wheeling Jesuit University, has earned her doctorate degree from the University of Alabama.

She also collaborates with Dr. Stanley Mannino, an interventional cardiologist, in Weirton. Her training includes nursing coupled with holistic treatment based in spiritual principles.

She resides in Weirton with her husband, John, and is the mother of three children. Sperlazza-Anthony is the daughter of Gene and Eileen Huffman of New Manchester.

NEW DEAN: Eastern Gateway Community College has named Jerry L. Klinesmith dean of business, engineering and information technologies, humanities and social sciences.

Prior to joining Eastern Gateway, Klinesmith was heating, ventilation and air conditioning program coordinator and instructor at Stark State College in North Canton. He also served a period as interim department chair of engineering at Stark.

His other position at Stark was applied industrial technology coordinator.

His other work experience includes service consultant and field service manager for Kiko Heating and Air Conditioning and service and installation for Catlett Plumbing.

His professional certification includes 12 North American Technician Excellence certifications and a Secondary Mathematics Education 7-12 Certificate.

Klinesmith holds a master of business administration degree from Walden University and a bachelor of science degree in education from Kent State University. He is a graduate of Wintersville High School.

He and his wife Cheryl reside in Magnolia with their three daughters.

JOINS GUIDA: Theresa Tassey has joined the staff of residential specialists at J.J. Guida Airport Realty.

Tassey is a Madonna High School graduate. She and her husband, Anthony, have been married for 29 years and have two children. The family resides in Greenlawn Estates.
