BRILLIANT - The Brilliant United Methodist Church was the setting for the May 28 wedding that united Elizabeth Ashley Roe and Scott Elliot Starr in marriage.
The 2 p.m. ceremony was celebrated by the Rev. Jeff Seigler.
The bride is the daughter of Lawrence and Cheryl Roe of Brilliant.
The groom is the son of Lenard and Angela Starr of Mingo Junction.
Escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a white strapless tulle ball gown with a cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses adorned with clear crystals and satin ribbon.
Amanda Yoho, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor. Tara Patton, friend of the bride, served as the bridesmaid, and Auna Roe, daughter of the bride, served as flower girl.
Nick Mavromatis, stepbrother of the groom, served as best man. Derek Starr, brother of the groom, served as groomsman, and Hunter Starr, brother of the groom, served as ring bearer.
A dinner reception followed the ceremony at the Brilliant Fire Hall.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Buckeye Local High School. The groom is a 2008 graduate of Indian Creek High School. The couple reside in Brilliant.
