LEXINGTON, Ky. - Gerald and Shelby-Jean Huffman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married on June 4, 1961, at the United Presbyterian Church in Follansbee.
He is a research center director and professor at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

She is a former elementary school and music teacher, who is now a housewife.
They have three children: Dr. Scott Huffman of Redwood City, Calif.; Brad Huffman of Columbus; and Kirsten Rowland of Lexington, Ky. They have seven grandchildren.
A surprise dinner party was held at Lexington's Merrick Inn in their honor.
