Wednesday - Chi Rho, the after-school youth program for grades first through sixth meets at 4 p.m. Choir rehearsal is at 7 p.m.
Thursday - The yarn ministry will meet at 10 a.m. Kerygma Bible study will be at 7 p.m.
Riverview United Methodist
A mothers group meets from 10 a.m. to noon every Wednesday at the Riverview United Methodist Church. For details, call (740) 537-2210. The group is open to all mothers who would benefit from time spent with other moms while the kids enjoy a play date.
The church has begun a youth service to be held during the time of regular worship in the fellowship hall on Sundays. Children go to their service of lessons, craft, snack and discussion and reflection. Ages 4 and up are involved. The nursery is staffed for the younger children to enjoy play time.
Youth group for junior and senior high students will begin at 6 p.m. April 3 and will continue every other Sunday evening. A meal will be served, music will be performed and lessons taught by Josh Elliott, church student pastor. All area youth are welcome to attend. The church is at 105 N. River Ave.
The Heavenly Metal Steel Drums will perform at 5 p.m. Sunday at the church.
A community wide Easter egg hunt will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 23. Eggs will be hidden by the high school in the area of the gazebo and war memorial. Hot dogs and beverage will be provided for all in attendance, and there may be a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Today - Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets at 9 a.m.
Sunday - The rise and shine service begins at 8:30 a.m.; Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m.; and the second worship service begins at 10:45 a.m.
Monday - Bible study will begin at 6 p.m.
Tuesday - Bible study will be at 6 p.m.
Wednesday - Bell choir rehearsal begins at 6 p.m. The quilters will meet at 6 p.m. Choir rehearsal begins at 7 p.m.
Thursday - TOPS will meet at 5:30 p.m.

Friday - The church will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for prayer each Friday during Lent.
Sunday - Morning worship will be at 9 a.m. Sunday school will be from 10:30 a.m. Evening service and choir rehearsal will be canceled to attend the concert of the Heavenly Metal Christian Steel Drum Band at 5 p.m. at the Riverview United Methodist Church, 105 N. River Ave., Toronto.
Monday - All ladies are invited to participate in a six-week study of Lysa Terkeurst's book "Made to Crave" at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All ladies are invited to attend.
Thursday - The Children's Club 10:14 and youth meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. with supper followed by fun activities. The program is open to all children and youth in the community and surrounding area.
North River Avenue Christian
Wednesday - Bible study begins at 7 p.m. on the book Romans.
April 3 - The minister's four basic doctrine class begins at 11 a.m. The class will meet in the overflow area. For information, call (740) 3285.
April 18 - The van trip to Amish country is full, but alternate names are being accepted.
April 22 - There will be a community Good Friday service at the First United Methodist Church, corner of Main and Sixth streets.
April 24 - The sunrise Easter service and breakfast begins at 7 a.m.; and the Easter cantata will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the theme "In Christ Alone!"
May 3 - The daughters' banquet will be at 6:30 p.m. There is a signup sheet on the church bulletin board, and men also are needed.
The junior worship program continues every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the junior worship area. Those ages 5 to fifth grade are welcome.
Currently on Sundays there is a 13-lesson, adult Bible study at 11 a.m. on "The Christian Life."
