BRILLIANT - Alice Jean and Charles Lowell Shields celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on Oct. 30.
They were married on Oct. 30, 1942, in East Springfield United Methodist Church, with the bride's uncle, Ernest Weals, officiating.
She is the daughter of the late Garnet and Victor Weals.
He is the son of the late Mae and Walter Shields.
They have three children: David of Bremen, Curtis of Ostrander and Carla of Wintersville.
There is one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.
