MINGO JUNCTION - Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis of Mingo Junction announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Emily, to Robert John Pekare, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pekare Jr. of Amherst.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron with bachelor of science degrees in early childhood education and early intervention. She is employed by North Royalton City Schools as a preschool intervention specialist and is pursuing her master's degree in mild to moderate intervention at Baldwin Wallace College.
Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst. He also is a 2008 graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor of science degree in nutrition. He is employed as a registered dietician at Maison Aine nursing facility in Stow.
